Jacob "Jake" Bressler is the main character in Subway Surfers and one of the game's main mascots. He is unlocked by default when playing the game for the first time. His first outfit, the Dark Outfit, is free. His second outfit, the Star Outfit, costs

Appearance
Default Outfit
Jake is a teenage boy with pale skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. He wears a light blue denim vest, a white hoodie sweatshirt with a red undershirt, a cap with a red brim and a white front panel with the words "Sub Surf" on it in the style of the old Subway Surfers logo, green and red shoes, and light blue jeans.
Dark Outfit
Jake's Dark Outfit was added in the
update and can be unlocked for free. His jacket is navy blue, the hoodie is dark-grey with white stripes on the arms, and the brim of his cap is black. His shoes are black and red and he wears navy blue trousers and sunglasses, along with dark fingerless gloves.
Before
, the white front panel on his cap was also black and the brim was not changed.
Star Outfit
Jake's Star Outfit was also introduced in the
update and costs
150. He now wears golden headphones, a star chain necklace, and a wristwatch. His hoodie, trousers, and shoes are red and light brown, and the shoelaces and his cap's brim are yellow.
This outfit originally cost

, the shoelaces were orange and the cap's brim was not changed.

- Jake was added with the soft launch of Subway Surfers on 24 May 2012.

- Jake and Tricky are the only characters to appear on the old version of the loading screen, and along with Fresh are the main characters of the game.
- According to the Animated Series, he appears to be friends with Tricky, Fresh, and Yutani.
- In the animated series, Jake has a single mom named Connie Bressler, so his father, Mr. Bressler remains unknown.
- Jake and Tricky were the first characters in which outfits were implemented for.

- Jake’s name was originally going to be "Slick", but was later changed. In older versions of the game (pre 2.0), there are still references to this name in the game's files and code.
- Jake has the most remake characters with 6 in total.
- In some pictures, there was a mistake where his eyes were green or blue instead of brown. For example, this was seen in the older versions of the "Update the game!" screen where Jake was seen pointing at the player in an image.
- Super Runner Jake is him as a superhero.
- Catrine is his rival.
- His Dark Outfit's sunglasses are similar to Tony's sunglasses.
- He is the first character to have "Sub Surf" written on his clothing. Other characters are Tagbot, Nick, Alicia (in Tracksuit Outfit), Callum, Zayn, and Leif.
- For unknown reasons, some promo images and different versions of the game don't have this graphic or have a different graphic instead.
- His bootleg appearance was seenon the Jak board.

- He's the most used character, because he's the starter character, so you'll use him when you first start playing.
- On a Live Stream in
, Jake still had his old animation. - On April 12, 2025, Jake became the first playable character to receive a mascot version in real life, but it is the second character to have a version like this, the first being the Guard.[1]
